Welcome to Mecca Hotel, Alexandria

Mecca Hotel, Alexandria stands as a welcoming destination for travelers seeking a blend of authentic charm and coastal charm along Egypt’s Mediterranean shore. Nestled conveniently on El-Gaish Road in the heart of Alexandria, this mid-tier hotel offers a practical base for exploring the city's vibrant culture, historic sites, and scenic beauty.

The hotel’s genuine warmth is most evident through its staff, consistently described as exceptionally kind, helpful, and attentive. Guests often highlight the professionalism of the security team, food and beverage personnel, and management, fostering a familial atmosphere that resonates strongly with visitors.

Despite its somewhat dated, 1990s-style decor and an older building structure, Mecca Hotel offers panoramic sea views from many rooms and communal areas, elevating the overall experience. Balconies with side glimpses of the Mediterranean and inviting restaurant views create memorable moments not easily replicated in modern establishments.

Rooms are compact yet efficiently furnished, equipped with essentials such as air conditioning, television, and refrigerators. While some maintenance issues persist—like occasional lighting faults and small elevators—the overall comfort aligns well with the hotel’s pricing, making it an accessible option for budget-conscious travelers who do not want to sacrifice location or service quality.

Breakfast features a flavorful oriental spread, included with the stay. Guests appreciate the option to bring their own food without incurring additional charges, enhancing the flexible and hospitable atmosphere. Accessibility is thoughtfully considered, with wheelchair-friendly lobby areas ensuring inclusiveness.

Mecca Hotel's prime location enables effortless access to key sightseeing spots, recreational venues, and Alexandria’s unique coastal charm. Visitors find it ideal for immersing themselves in the city’s essence without straying far from their comfortable lodging.

While modernization efforts could enhance room condition and amenities—such as insect screens on balconies or toddler chairs for families—the hotel’s friendly staff, competitive pricing, and unbeatable location more than compensate. This combination secures Mecca Hotel a valued place among Alexandria’s hospitality options, especially for those prioritizing sincere service and authentic local vibes over luxury.

In essence, Mecca Hotel, Alexandria is a genuine, sea-facing refuge that captures the spirit of the city and embraces every guest like family. It remains a favored choice for travelers desiring simplicity and warmth with a spectacular view.

Brilliant all around. Friendly professional perfect location. Old tired building but not too bad. They need to install wire screens on balcony doors to protect from insects. Breakfast included from 6am. But they arrive late.

Old vibes with a good view and friendly staff.. Very good service.. Old decorated rooms give you a 90's vibes.. I had a great weekend in this small hotel + everything besides you.. You can bring food with no extra charge .. The breakfast was yammy + the view of the restaurant was great.

All the staff were super friendly and nice! The rooms are a bit narrow, not a big space to move it, but fair for its price. Some of the lamps weren't working. 2 elevators, both are small (max 3 persons) but working well. Breakfast was oriental fair breakfast. There was no toddler chair. The lobby is Wheelchair accessible. The picture is for the prices on April 2023.

The staff are incredibly friendly, polite, and cheerful. What stood out most was how supportive they are and how quickly they respond to any request. The location is fantastic and truly one of the hotel’s biggest highlights. The only area that could use some improvement is room cleaning; however, considering the price, it’s still acceptable. In fact, many common 5-star hotels in Alexandria don’t offer such a stunning view as Mecca Hotel. If you’re looking to save money while still enjoying your stay in Alexandria, I highly recommend Mecca Hotel.

The best hotel in Alexandria by far, great location, sea view from every angle, professional staff and clean. Always my go to pick whenever I'm in Alexandria. Only issue is that on the past couple years the prices gave gotten a little bit high for mid class visitors, hope they keep that in mind or offer economical options with same great experience.
